Joining Ware u3a
Annual membership runs from January to December each year. A reduced fee applies for people joining from 1st July. Anyone joining in December should simply pay the full fee applicable for the following year and they will get up to 13 months’ membership for the price of 12! This page and the linked membership form will be updated at the appropriate times to reflect the fee that is then current.
To join simply complete the Membership Application Form which you then need to save to your device (you may be asked to 'Download' the document or 'Edit a Copy') before attaching it to an email and returning it to members@wareu3a.co.uk. You will find full payment details on the form, together with a postal address if you prefer to use this. Anyone needing a hard copy of the form instead should email the Membership Secretary providing the name and address to which it should be sent. Hard copies will also be available at the monthly meetings.
The fee from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2026 is £6 per person. This includes the membership fee paid to our national organisation (the Third Age Trust), u3a Matters magazine published five times a year, access to our monthly meetings and interest groups (there may be a separate cost for these - see the Groups page for more information), and a copy of our monthly newsletter. If you are a UK tax-payer you can Gift Aid your subscription to Ware u3a, thereby increasing its value by 25p in every pound.

When your membership has been set up, your membership card will be emailed to you. Please save it securely where you can easily find it, as you will need to show it at monthly meetings or when participating in other u3a activities.
You should be aware that you take part in any u3a activity at your own risk and it is your responsibility to decide if you are fit enough to do so.

The u3a matters magazine is available to read online at www.u3a.org.uk/what-we-do/u3a-matters If you prefer to receive a copy by post, you should tick the relevant box on the membership form. You can change this option at any time by emailing the Membership Secretary.
