Joining Ware u3a
Annual membership runs from January to December each year. A reduced fee applies for people joining from 1st July. Anyone joining in December should simply pay the full fee applicable for the following year and they will get up to 13 months’ membership for the price of 12! This page and the linked membership form will be updated at the appropriate times to reflect the fee that is then current.
To join simply complete the Membership Application Form and return it with your payment (unless paying by bank transfer) to the Membership Secretary whose address is on the form. Please note that the form is not interactive and has to be printed and completed by hand. If you don't have access to a printer, send an email, including your name and address, to the Membership Secretary and a hard copy of the form will be sent to you, or you can pick one up at a Monthly Meeting.
The full fee for 2026 is £10 per person. This includes the membership fee paid to our national organisation (the Third Age Trust), u3a Matters magazine published five times a year, access to our monthly meetings and interest groups (there may be a separate cost for these - see the Groups page for more information), and a copy of our monthly newsletter. If you are a UK tax-payer you can Gift Aid your subscription to Ware u3a, thereby increasing its value by 25p in every pound.

When your membership has been set up, your membership card will be emailed to you. Please save it securely where you can easily find it, as you will need to show it at monthly meetings or when participating in other u3a activities.
You should be aware that you take part in any u3a activity at your own risk and it is your responsibility to decide if you are fit enough to do so.
u3a Matters
If you do not wish to receive the u3a Matters magazine, please let the Membership Secretary know by sending them a message and your name will be removed from the list. Please be aware that it may take a bit of time for your details to be removed from their mailing list.
Data Protection Act 2018
Membership data for members of Ware u3a will be kept on a computerised database. This information will be kept confidential and used solely for u3a business and communications. If you have any enquiries, please contact the Chair.
